Who We Are

Salon proprietor, Marjo Strydom, finds is difficult to believe that Salon Heads-A-Head has been around for 24years But in the twenty four years
of its existence, the Salon has gone from strength to strength and undergone numerous changes and is now almost embedded in the history of Kokstad.

Marjo studied at Tygerberg College in the Cape from 1982 to 1983. In 1984 she taught at the same institution while working at a salon named Janes
Hair Boutique. Both her employers and teachers saw potential in Marjos skill as a hair stylist and encouraged her to pursue her passion. In 1987,
Marjo moved to Kokstad and worked from home for a while. Then on 26 April 1988, Salon Heads-A-Head (situated in Hope Street) opened its
doors to the public. Marjo says she will never forget her first client, Helen Harley, who is currently still a client! Shortly after the Salons opening.
